Antonio Mercado is a junior who is in the electrical program. He plays varsity football; where he is a wide receiver. The wide receivers’ main job is to catch passes from the quarterback to make plays and run routes. He’s been playing football for 6 years. He’s an honors student with a 3.5 GPA, which he works hard to achieve. He also plays track during the time when he isn’t playing football. His inspiration for playing the sport is how tough this sport is and how it teaches life lessons. His inspirations are Lamar Jackson, the Ravens quarterback, and Tom Brady, a retired quarterback who played on the Patriots. After high school he wants to go pro in football, he also wants to be a correctional officer and wants to do something in the electrical field. He enjoys the moments with his team and coaches each year, but his favorite moments are when it’s game day and the whole team comes together for their one goal to win.
