Harford Tech just hosted its annual Turkey Trot! On November 27th at about 7:50am, the school started the trot; with over 100 students and teachers in participance.
The participants had to do one lap around the track, run down the path towards the baseball field, run around the field and go back up the path, go up a hill and to John Archer, run around the small field at John Archer, go back down the hill towards the track, and do one last lap around the track before crossing the finish line at the 50-yard line.
With some being finished in just the first 20 minutes, runner Mickey Beser ended up being the first to finish the trot and the best for the boys, and Marley Seaborn ended up being the best overall for the girls.
When it came to prizes and rewards, there were categories such as fastest male and female, fastest in 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade, and the overall fastest tech area. The prizes ranged from t-shirts, pastries, and plushies (which went against the usual turkey prize).
And, per usual, the fastest tech area was CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drafting).
Also, they announced the winner of the canned food drive; and, like always, CADD was the winner, with over 300 cans.
Overall, this was a wonderful Turkey Trot, and there will hopefully be more and better to come!
