It’s that time of year, people!
Black Friday is just around the corner, and now’s the time to start thinking about what’s on everyone’s mind: Holiday Shopping. We all know that with the recent price increases, it’s becoming nearly impossible to purchase the gifts our friends and family want. How do we fix that? Black Friday, of course! The one day of the year that many stores across the country discount their items at a low price; from 20% off to 80% off, you’ll always find a deal that’ll work for you. Now, granted, some stores have deals that last through the entire week and not just that single Friday, but come on, it’s the actual Friday that matters here…
But, let’s be honest, we all know how much of a hassle that single day can bring; long lines, mean people, and an impossible load of discounted items. How are we to manage all of this at once, and in only one day?!
Well, here are some tips on how to make it through this joyous yet disastrous day…:
1. Get there early. The long lines start up WAY before the doors even open, causing there to be lines that sometimes stretch around the entire building! And, no one wants to be last in line. So, getting there early always helps.
2. Check online. Sometimes, stores will either post their deals online before Black Friday, or let you purchase the item online for the Black Friday sale price. Getting it online will be much easier than waiting in long lines throughout the night.
3. Be on alert! Black Friday is an easy day for robbers and pick pocketers; since you’re distracted, it’s easy for people to grab something out of your purse or pocket without you even realizing. Also, while all of the employees are busy, it is a bit easier for a thief to walk out of the store with an unpaid item, which can get ugly real fast. So, make sure you are on alert!
I hope this helps! Maybe you’ll be able to get the hot-ticket item at a cheaper price this year. Stay safe, and stay alert!
