The book “Renegades” is one of three in a series written by Marissa Meyer, was truly a wonderous and in-depth book. Told from the perspectives of Nova, a villain who’s looking to get revenge on the heroes that corrupted her world, and Adrian, a hero who’s playing double agent with the world-famous superhero organization and as a vigilante in the city. Nova sees the opportunity to take down the heroes from the inside, so she poses as a hero in hopes to corrupt them from the inside out. Now, as Nova and Adrian are getting closer and closer, it’s only a matter of time before their worlds collide and they question their allegiances.
Marissa Meyer dives deep into the perspectives of two characters on opposite sides of a war, portraying emotion in a way I’ve never read before. The book is incredibly descriptive and makes you feel like you’re fighting alongside the characters. This book made me want to keep reading, and I finished it in no time, only to want to read more.
Overall, I’d recommend this book to anyone who’s into superheroes, action, adventure, suspense, and a bit of thrown-in romance.
